Within a fluid organization, asking for more and more deliverables, it becomes imperative to share important data, and share it so it is received properly as well as retained. This course allows participants to begin to frame their messages so they fit the personalities of their team and their ultimate goals.
You may choose one or both of the following modules:
1) Create Your Vision
Objectives
- Become more strategic.
- Translate your vision of change into relevant action.
- Eliminate distractions.
- Gain agreement on key performance indicators - measuring achievement.
Develop a vision and then manage to the objective. Drive business objectives to tactics • timelines • measurements. Action versus progress - know the difference - avoid the addiction to action. Learn to identify what is critical and what is not, shortening timelines.
2) Managing the Message
Setting and Communicating Expectations
Making the Message “Stick”
Objectives
- Inspire commitment through involvement and ownership.
- Translate tasks into purpose - communicating core purpose.
- Market the message - selling the vision.
- Assist as the message is crafted - using metaphors to create a shared vision.
- Understand the use of emotional intelligence when crafting the delivery.
In this experience, participants will use examples, meaningful experiences and exercises to develop their own work model. Never lose focus. Get your team to ‘speak the same language’ build strength and a sense of accountability for all team members.
The message distributed may be as varied as organizations, and goals. Business drivers, as indicated within the Spirit key objectives may include, but are not limited to: shifting business paradigms, shaping organizational strategy and the turnaround of unit performance or culture.
